Transforming the way healthcare officials collaborate to track people, pets, and associated property and equipment during evacuations, large events, mass casualty incidents and public health emergencies.
EMSystems offers seasoned, powerful, and comprehensive solutions that aid our customers in:
EMResource is an interoperable emergency communications solution that streamlines communications required to prepare for, respond to, and recover from individual and large-scale incidents across the entire emergency services spectrum. EMResource facilitates monitoring of healthcare assets, emergency department capacity, behavioral health and dialysis bed status, as well as National Disaster Medical System (NDMS) and HAvBED reporting. EMResource also tracks additional incident-specific resources, such as decontamination facilities, ventilators, pharmaceuticals, and specialty services. EMResource is used each day in 74 implemented regions across the United States, covering more than 37% of the U.S. by population. As of October 2009, there are 1,400 hospitals and 15,000 users employing EMResource across the U.S.
EMResource creates a common operating picture, as described by the National Incident Management System (NIMS), and delivers the most comprehensive and flexible exchange of information between EMS providers, hospitals, health care entities, 911 dispatch centers, and Emergency Operations Centers (EOCs). EMResource complies with HHS and ASPR 2009 Cooperative Agreement guidance for the National Preparedness Goal; this goal outlines bed tracking system requirements and bed definitions, and provides consistency among hospitals when reporting bed availability information.
EMTrack supports the tracking of people, property, and equipment. It is configured for each client to support local policies and reflect any unique state or local needs for mass casualty, public health, special events, and hospital evacuee tracking. EMTrack has been used extensively during such events as Hurricanes Ike and Gustav, the Presidential Inauguration, Mardi Gras, and the Boston Marathon. EMTrack covers over 21% of the U.S. by population; this coverage includes three statewide implementations and more than 18 regional installations. In 2009, EMTrack received the Frost & Sullivan 2009 Product Innovation of the Year Award.
EMTrack's intuitive and secure design supports a common operating picture to facilitate interoperable communications among different agencies and organizations. With EMTrack, response and support teams can effectively track, coordinate, and manage patient or individual movements throughout the care continuum, including at the scene, during transport, at the destination, at discharge, and during family reunification. With its unique scan-and-go technology, EMTrack effectively manages individual and associated data collection to assist EMS, hospital, and healthcare organizations to monitor critical resources, patient care, and time constraints.
Response Manager is a flexible, comprehensive web-based alerting and collaboration solution designed to meet the Public Health Information Network (PHIN) guidelines for Health Alert Networks as set forth by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Response Manager is used by public health professionals as a secure communication solution for preparing for, responding to, and recovering from multiple public health events. Response Manager enables statewide coordination and response to events like the recent H1N1 outbreak, providing a comprehensive platform for disaster planning and continuity of operations planning in 22 states.
Response Manager has the ability to send alerts/notifications through phone, fax, email, and radio. Public health professionals use Response Manager to collaborate on response plans, policies and procedures, situational reports, training exercises, after action reporting, fiscal budgets and planning, and public health events. In addition to helping states meet federal guidelines, Response Manager combines several functions that enable comprehensive utilization of the system on a daily basis. The system delivers active management tools to nontechnical application administrators for daily use in preparedness, planning and response, notifications, and management of large complex population groups.
EMSystems operations solution provides integrated technology for field-based data collection, data warehousing, and communications. The integrated electronic Patient Care Record (ePCR) solution collects and disseminates critical pre-hospital EMS patient information. Designed with a logical and intuitive interface, the solution enables agencies to streamline and improve the quality and cost effectiveness of emergency medical care. The solution is used primarily by paramedics and other emergency personnel to record patient information, such as identification, vital signs, and health background. The solution also enables in-field capture of both patient and hospital personnel signatures. This information is collected in the field using mobile devices and is communicated to emergency departments for immediate use upon patient intake.
The ePCR and other components of EMS OPS offer comprehensive reporting features and secure 24/7 information channels, providing a reliable communication infrastructure for EMS personnel, medical directors, and state and local authorities. EMSystems' pre-hospital solutions are compliant with the NEMSIS Gold Data standard, protecting the privacy and security of patient information.
